Trails of hope

Insights of a mountain woman along the trek of caregiving

According to the Observatory of the Spanish Association Against Cancer, colorectal cancer was almost 15% of all diagnosed tumours in 2023, making it the most common cancer in Spain in both woman and man. Furthermore, this type of tumour ranks as the second cause of death among oncologic patients, only bellow lung cancer.
Logically, not only those suffering the illness firsthand are affected by it. Families must adapt their lifestyle to provide the patient with the best care and attention available. Throughout the condition, emerging feelings and emotions must be dealt with to go on.
Inés Ponce brings us her particular trek along the paths of caregiving. A journey filled with learnings, uncertainties, fears and hopes where she has undergone personal transformation in her role as partner and mother, mainly changing as woman.
All profit from this book will be donated equally to the Spanish Association Against Cancer and the Spanish Red Cross local branch in Jaca.
